OG Online Ruler is designed to work without an account and without uploading the objects you measure. This policy explains what information the website uses and what remains on your device.

Information stored on your device

The ruler uses browser local storage to remember preferences such as measurement units, active ruler edges, display calibration, and theme. This information stays in your browser unless you clear site data. It is not a user profile and does not include the physical objects you measure.

Device and screen information

Calibration may use values supplied by your browser, including screen width, screen height, and device pixel ratio. These values are processed in the page to estimate scale. Automatic detection compares the values with known display profiles. OG Online Ruler does not need camera, microphone, precise location, or contact access.

Server logs and hosting

Like most websites, our hosting provider may process standard request information needed to deliver and protect the service. This can include an IP address, browser type, requested URL, time, and diagnostic or security logs. Retention and handling may depend on the hosting provider used to operate the site.

Cookies and analytics

The current ruler does not require advertising cookies or an account session. If analytics or additional services are introduced later, this policy will be updated and any consent controls required by applicable law will be provided.

Data sharing and retention

We do not sell personal information. Local ruler preferences remain until you clear them through browser settings. Infrastructure logs may be retained temporarily for reliability, abuse prevention, and security.

Your choices

You can use private browsing, block local storage, or clear site data at any time. Blocking storage may prevent the ruler from remembering calibration and theme preferences between visits.

Children and changes
